OLYMPIC TRAINING CENTER

Vuokatti Sport Olympic Training Center is an athletes dream destination in Finland, but also internationally. We are specialised in winter sports and have all year round facilities. We have a long history of being the training center for competitive Cross Country Skiers. Many World Champions and Olympic Gold Medalist have honed their skills and fitness with us. To become a Champion, it requires first class training facilities and surroundings. Here at Vuokatti in October we are one of the first countries worldwide to have an outdoor ski track open. In the summer season, cross-country skiers are served by a ski tunnel and a roller-skiing circuits. So let's say we have snow available 365 days a year.

TRAINING CONDITIONS

Physically diverse and challenging training is one of the key stones for an athlete’s development. Vuokatti's varied terrain and natural height differences guarantee a challenge for every workout. Our 150-kilometer trail network includes both grueling racetracks and easier runs for restorative workouts. In summer, the same routes easily turn into running runs, for example. If you wish versatility to your training, there are plenty of possibilities. In the beautiful scenery of Vuokatti, you can row or paddle along lakes and rivers. In addition, you can play football and tennis on the outdoor courts, volleyball, badminton, or even paddles in the indoor halls. There are also separate facilities for strength training, gymnastics, and stretching.
